Вежливые просьбы с Could и Can

Could I have the menu, please? («Можно мне меню, пожалуйста?») — более формально.

Can I get a glass of water? («Можно стакан воды?») — менее формально.

Конструкция I’d like…

Вежливый способ сделать заказ: I’d like the fish soup. («Я бы хотел рыбный суп»).

Сокращение от I would like.

Вопросы о составе блюда

Does this contain…? — «В этом есть…?».

Is it spicy? — «Оно острое?».

Степени прожарки мяса

rare — с кровью;
