Я улыбнулась, когда вспомнила эту историю и подумала о том, что двигало девочками: каким бы импульсивным ни казался их поступок, но их собственное будущее зависит от этих выкриков. Они были правы.

Итак, в последний день работы над книгой я отправилась в центр Эрессоса и дальше, вниз, к бухте. Козы мирно лежали под оливковыми деревьями, козлята бодались друг с другом в тени. Я шла вдоль моря, которое простиралось справа от меня, а слева тянулись высокие холмы. Тропинка вела меня через небольшой мостик. Десятки рыб и черепах плавали в зеленой речке, бежавшей под ним. У тропинки в изобилии цвели разноцветные цветы: яркий розовый олеандр, оранжевый кампсис, фиолетовый чертополох. Казалось, в каждом цветке деловито сновали пчелы. Цветы – это половые органы растений, и я ела мед этих пчел на завтрак каждое утро, пока мы были в Греции.

Я улыбнулась. Куда бы я ни посмотрела, вокруг себя я видела женскую силу, созидающую и дарующую. Женская сексуальность была везде, она создавала и поддерживала весь мир, в том числе и нас, людей.

«Вагина, вагина, вагина!» – подумала я с радостью.
