Супрахиазматическое ядро – область внутри гипоталамуса, которая регулирует циркадный ритм.

Таламус – небольшая область прямо над мозговым стволом, которая действует как выключатель для сообщений, попадающих в мозг.

Хвостатое ядро – структура, расположенная рядом с центром мозга и участвующая в движении, планировании, запоминании, формировании эмоций и развитии зависимости.

Циркадный ритм – биологическая активность организма, которая происходит за 24-часовой цикл.

Черная субстанция – область в среднем мозге, содержащая дофаминовые и меланиновые нейроны, играющие важную роль в развитии болезни Паркинсона и системе вознаграждения.

Электрод – небольшое устройство для фиксации электрической активности.

ЭЭГ (электроэнцефалография) – неинвазивный метод регистрации мозговых волн.
